Because we only use natural ingredients, and no chemical preservatives, they do have a shorter shelf life than supermarket chocolates. And because your box will most probably contain different chocolates that have been produced at different times with different ingredients, that too factors into how long your chocolates will last.
Your box will have a date stamped on the bottom. That is the date when at least one of the chocolates inside will reach its Best Before date. As a rule, chocolates containing chocolate and dairy ganaches inside have a shorter shelf life, and those without dairy will last longer.
Treat them well, keep them in a cool place - not the fridge.
Chocolates don't like heat and aren't that keen on cold either. The ideal temperature is 15-18° C with low humidity. The fridge has too much moisture so it will destroy the outer coating. We recommend a cool, dark place. A secret place where no-one will find them ;)
Shipping costs $8 for Courier (generally overnight) to an urban address and $11 for a Rural Delivery Courier.
If your recipient does live rurally please ensure you select and pay for Rural Delivery, as if it doesn’t have the RD ticket on the parcel, it will NOT be delivered. We are not responsible for deliveries to incomplete addresses.
Yes! Click on Build Your Box in the main menu and choose how many you want - 6, 12 or 18 chocolates. They come boxed, decorated, bubble wrapped and sent to you or your loved one. You can add a note on our free little card, or you can buy a proper card from our store. We can even fill it out for you if you wish.
We aren't florists but a couple of local Takaka florists do add them to their fabulous arrangements for delivery in Golden Bay and over the Hill. Just decide which box you want then contact the florists directly and they'll sort the rest out.
